Hi, I'm Olena.

Money is so much more than just money. It touches how we work, how we love, how safe we feel, and how we imagine our future. It lives in our relationships, our bodies, and in beliefs we formed as children.

If you have ever felt like you know what to do, but still find yourself repeating financial patterns, you are not alone. More than just education, it is about understanding the beliefs behind your financial decisions, so you can make steady, clear progress.

What this work is

Together, we look at what is driving your financial patterns: how early experiences and attachment shape your relationship with money, and where inherited beliefs may be keeping you stuck.

We slow down, build awareness, and align your financial decisions with your values and your life’s purpose.

This is financial therapy, not financial planning. You come away with more clarity about what is happening beneath your money patterns, and often with small, practical steps. Over time, the work becomes a chance to understand yourself more deeply and to relate to money with less fear.

WHAT THIS WORK IS NOT

I hold the designations of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Investment Manager (CIM®), and Certified Financial Behavior Specialist (FBS®), and am currently enrolled in the Stepping Stones IFS training program through the Internal Family Systems Counselling Association (IFSCA). I am not a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), registered psychotherapist, or licensed mental health professional under the Health Professions and Occupations Act of British Columbia. The financial therapy and financial life coaching sessions I offer do not constitute psychotherapy, clinical counselling, or any form of registered mental health treatment.

Some clients find that financial therapy conversations naturally surface deeper emotional or personal material. This can be a meaningful part of the process. If issues arise that extend beyond my scope of practice, particularly significant psychological, relational, or mental health concerns, I may recommend that you seek support from an appropriately qualified mental health professional.

What financial therapy can help with

Real change starts with awareness, not only from your mind, but from your body and heart. This kind of change happens when you feel seen and understood, without judgment.

Some of the best financial breakthroughs don't happen behind a desk. This session takes financial therapy outside: boots on the trail, room to breathe between sentences, no screens in sight. Just movement, fresh air, and space to think differently.

What sessions are like

Each session meets you where you are: there is no rigid structure, we start with what feels most present. Whether that is a specific decision, a recurring pattern, or a general sense of overwhelm, we work through it.

We slow things down, and look at what is coming up and what is driving it, then bring in practical steps: simplifying a decision, creating a little structure, finding the next right move that feels realistic.

This work builds over time, and even a few sessions can shift how you relate to money.

If any part of this feels familiar, this work may be for you.

The best place to start is a short intro call. We can talk about what is on your mind and whether this feels like a fit.

“The work I do grows from a simple hope: that money can be a tool for living a life that is true to us and for contributing to something larger than ourselves.”
